Writer of the hit US series Girls has announced that she will release her first book later this year.
In December, The Guardian leaked details of the book, stating that it would be about “dieting, about dressing, about friendship and the two existential crises I had before the age of 20”.
Confirming the book on Instagram, the writer unveiled Not That Kind of Girl‘s front cover, including the tagline “A young woman tell’s you what she’s “learned””. She also announced that the book will be released on 7th October 2014.
Last month Dunham confirmed that she is currently working on the fourth series of Girls which has been commissioned by HBO. The third series is currently airing on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
