So far this year, Frank Turner has performed live more times than I’ve cooked. And while this does indeed have something to do with those great people at KFC, nobody could accuse Turner of being lazy. By the time he reaches Bournemouth in November, he will have performed over 130 times in 2011, taking in most of Europe and giving North America a good go too.
Turner is the man the word ‘tireless’ was invented for, and his latest album England Keep My Bones is showing everyone that a modern rockstar can still have something to say. He’s played the south coast fairly regularly, but it’s always worth checking him out. He puts his heart and soul into every performance and really seems to care about whether his audience are having a good time. A cult hero in the making.
Tickets are available here and cost £16.
