As part of Southampton’s celebration of Black History Month, The Cellar will be playing host to BBC 6 Music legend Donn Letts. This promises to be a night filled with funk and dub reggae.
A connoisseur of all genres, Don Letts is sure to bring his signature mix of styles. Not only does he present a show on BBC 6 Music but he is also a critically acclaimed film maker. He began his career in London, DJing at clubs such as The Roxy, which led him to befriend famous names such as The Clash and Sex Pistols. It was from these friendships that he was able to combine the genres of reggae and punk.
Taking place on Saturday 12th October, tickets are £6 in advance and £8 on the door.
