Jimmy Eat World have had a long running and successful career over the last two decades, having formed way back in 1993. The punk-rock band earned international success in 2001 with their album Bleed American, which included their best-selling single to date ‘The Middle’.
Several high-profile film scores and television appearances catapulted them to fame, allowing them to reach a far wider audience than they had initially. ‘Lucky Denver Mint’ appeared in the Drew Barrymore hit Never Been Kissed (1999), while their emotive track ‘Hear You Me’ appeared in both the critically acclaimed blockbuster The Butterfly Effect (2004) and teenage rom-com A Cinderella Story in the same year. The band also privileged from the continued support of the hit American television show One Tree Hill, where episodes featured stage performances and several of their songs as backing tracks.
Their success still continues, and after what seems like a long wait since their last album Invented, they have returned to the UK to tour with their latest offering to the music platform, Damage.
Jimmy Eat World will be taking to the stage at the O2 Academy Bournemouth on Wednesday 6th November, but you can catch them at other venues, including the London Brixton Academy, throughout the rest of the month.
