This Friday will see Annie Mac visit Bournemouth’s O2 Academy as she brings her UK tour to the seaside town. The Annie Mac Presents tour features a range of exciting new talent showcasing dance and electronic music. Performing alongside the seminal BBC Radio One DJ will be four incredible acts: Duke Dumont, MNEK, Cyril Hahn and Lulu James.
Duke Dumont may be the creator of one of the year’s biggest hits in ‘Need U (100%)’, but he is not new to the electronic music scene as he has been making tracks since 2007. 2013 has certainly been his breakthrough year, and having released his fourth EP For Club Play Only Pt. 2 in September, Dumont is sure to get everyone dancing.
Meanwhile, having collaborated with artists including Rudimental, Duke Dumont and Sub Focus, and written for A*M*E, Gorgon City and Misha B, it’s hard to believe that the fresh faced MNEK only turned 19 last weekend. After signing to Virgin EMI Records just a few weeks ago, MNEK is set to be one of the most innovative new artists of the next 12 months. Likewise, anticipation for music from Swiss DJ Cyril Hahn is rife. He’s most famous for his remix of a Destiny’s Child classic, but his intricate production skills and DJ talent has been showcased through a range of other tracks, and this tour is a rare chance to see the talented musician in action.
Completing the line up is Lulu James who received rave reviews after supporting Ellie Goulding on her UK tour. With a fiery personality, energetic stage presence, and a soulful voice that will be the perfect accompaniment to the dance beats of fellow acts like Cyril Hahn and Duke Dumont, Lulu James is sure to make the crowd get rowdy.
The tour is supported by the Annie Mac Presents 2013 compilation; a double disc of the most innovative dance music which was released last month.
