Preview: Architects at The Mo’club (13/03/2014)

Architects have played a leading role in the commercial success of metalcore since 2004. Hailing from Brighton and consisting of  lead vocalist Sam Carter, Dan Searle and his twin brother Tom Searle (drummer and guitarist/keyboardist respectfully), and Alex Dean on bass guitar, the band went through several name changes in their early years before settling with Architects, and have since released five studio albums under this name.

In 2012 they released their fifth album Daybreaker, which came packed with more politicised lyrics and marked a return to their heavier, more technical roots. The live show at The Mo’club comes two days after the proposed release (10/03/2014) of the highly anticipated Lost Forever // Lost Together, the band’s sixth studio album; this record will, according to the band, be their heaviest yet and the lyrics will explore wider, more positive themes than those found in Daybreaker.

The line-up of support acts is looking exciting as well; on the list are New Yorkers Stray From The Path, who are continuing to storm the scene following their seventh studio album Anonymous, Australian 5-piece Northlane and modern hardcore punk band Landscapes. Some seriously heavy hitters in the metalcore genre combined with the imminent release of an eagerly anticipated album from Architects means we can expect big crowds, big energy and big tracks at this gig, don’t miss it!
