The three piece indie rock have recently released their fifth studio album, TV en Français. We Are Scientists began their tour back on the 6th March in Oxford, travelling around the UK with Superfood and The Heartbreaks to reach our own University of Southampton. Having already released several albums and EPs, toured frequently and recently presented The Fly Awards, the band has made quite a name for themselves.
After forming in Berkeley, CA in 2000, the now New York-based trio have reached 11 in the UK album chart with their 3rd album Brain Thrust Mastery, with two top 40 singles ‘After Hours‘ and ‘Chick Lit’. Comprising of Keith Murray (vocals and guitar), Chris Cain (bass) and Michael Tapper (drums), they signed with Dine Alone records. They have strong support from NME magazine, The Fly, The Guardian and a number of radio stations, with numerous festival performances and headlining tours under their belt, this band shows no sign of slowing down, combining their musical talent with a more casual, comediac and audience interactive live performance.
