Little known singer-songwriter Gianna Lauren is a hidden treasure of the music industry. With warm guitar tones and melodic, relaxed vocals, Lauren returns to Europe only four months after she left, appearing at this year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton during her previous visit. Channeling a delicate, sombre sound, Lauren is described by The Coast as “…a bit of a mystery. She’s part wallflower, part rocker, all intrigue. With a sound akin to Mary Timony, Lauren’s poetic yet gritty.”
Her music seems fitting to feature in a Michael Cera movie. Her performance style and musical talents fit in seamlessly with The Art House, who will no doubt continue to channel the relaxed atmosphere of this volunteer run venue. Joined by Bright Smoke, a self described ‘psychedelic-folk’ star, Gianna Lauren’s appearance will be magical, charismatic, and heart-warming, the perfect oasis in the madness of Fresher’s Week, and to welcome in the beginning of autumn.
