Preview: New Desert Blues at The Joiners, Southampton (16/05/2015)

Hampshire Noir Americana sextet New Desert Blues are due to play locally at The Joiners on the 16th May, over half a year since they headlined as part of The Psychedelia Birthday Weekend at The Cellar last October before going away to record their debut album.

‘Swarm’ is the first track released from their upcoming debut album, which breaks away from their habit of entitling each of their songs with a male name as seen with their EP Devil’s Rope.

Their cinematic sound enriched with deep vocal harmonies has been a favourite of the area and also the likes of Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1. They are also on our predictions to be the biggest acts to come out of Southampton.

Support of the night to come from The Diamond Age, Josh Savage, and Samphier Movie Night.

Tickets on sale available from here.
