The Garden Party, now celebrating its tenth year, takes place in the iconic Tetley Brewery on the 29th and 30th August. Performances over the weekend include electronica artist Roisin Murphy, Talib Kweli, Swedish four-piece Little Dragon, John Talbot with Black Coffee, singer-songwriter Ady Suileman, and Nordic disco man Todd Terje.
The Garden Party is a cultural event, so more than just music, with food, street art, and more. The long list of live acts are also backed up by an even longer list of DJ Sets, including Mr Scruff, Romare, John Talabot, Grandmaster Flash, Black Coffee, Amê, funk and soul legend Craig Charles, Kerri Chandler, BBC Radio 1 DJ Heidi, Paul Woolford, Redlight, Shadow Child, B.Traits, and Patrick Topping to name but a few.
However, this is a culture festival, so that means art, food, and talent. The festival has partnered with a collective of companies to bring the event to life this year, including Sound Channel, The Warehouse Project, Canal Mills, Chibuku, Metropolis, Now Wave and Eat Your Own Ears. Garden Party revellers will enjoy curated food and drink by Leeds Indie Food Fest, including worldwide street food and a no-doubt-popular Cocktail Shack.
Tickets for The Garden Party Leeds start at just £19.50 for one day and £29.50 for the weekend. Tickets can be found via the festival’s website.
