Festival promoted Vince Power has pulled the plug on the sixth year at the Hop Farm in Kent.
In a statement on Friday, he said “We have worked very hard to try to make it work but it has proved too much a of mountain to climb and despite fighting hard, circumstances are such that based on poor ticket sales and the forecast selling rate substantial losses would be made.”
He also thanked those that had attended past events at the farm in Paddock Wood, Kent, adding “We would also thank the fans that have supported us over the past five years. It is with great sadness that the decision was made.”
Previous acts have included big names such as Bob Dylan, The Eagles and Morrissey. The first festival, in 2008, featured Neil Young.
This year’s festival was to feature My Bloody Valentine, The Horrors and The Cribs, but suffered poor ticket sales. The festival had always prided itself on an ethos of no sponsorship or branding.
All ticket holders will be refunded.
