Hunger Games fans, get excited: The movie’s very own theatre show is officially coming to London.
A 1,300-seater, custom-built venue created solely for the production, including a 360-degree rotating stage, has been given planning permission. It will be built as part of a redevelopment of the area around Wembley Stadium, according to the Evening Standard.
The rotating design is the creation of Tony and Olivier Award-winning producer Robin de Levita.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be partnering with a studio like Lionsgate on something that resonates so deeply with audiences. The theatre is a fantastic medium to bring the many meaningful layers of Suzanne Collins’s writing to life.”
Details on the script is yet to be released.
The Hunger Games‘ stage show will open in summer 2016.
