Paramount have released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming comedy sequel, Zoolander 2.
The teaser reacquaints us with the film’s titular character, Derek Zoolander – albeit through a bizarre scientific prism, in which Professor Stephen Hawking drolly talks us through the world’s history, from the creation of the universe to the evolution of man.
However, Professor Hawking’s cosmological lecture is soon cut short, when Ben Stiller’s spectacularly dim-witted supermodel intercedes (with his ‘blue steel’ in tow) posing the ‘philosophical’ question: “If God exists…. then why did he make ugly people?”
The film, which acts as a sequel to the 2001 hit comedy, will also see the return of Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor and Will Ferrell, as well as new cast members, Penelope Cruz and Kristen Wiig. Like its predecessor, the film will also feature cameos from several famous faces, including Kim Kardashian-West, Justin Bieber and Lewis Hamilton.
Zoolander 2 is set to hit cinemas on 12th February 2016. Watch the teaser below.
