Marvel have released a Deadpool teaser ahead of the film’s official trailer, which is set to hit the internet tomorrow (4th August).
The 40 second video, entitled ‘A Message From Deadpool’, sees Ryan Reynolds’ wisecracking superhero break the fourth wall and address his audience – drolly commenting on the character’s failed cinematic history, with all the tenacious vulgarity that we so hoped for the first time round:
“In a world, divided by fear, one man must stand alone against the forces of darkness… From the studio that inexplicably sewed his f*cking mouth shut the first time, comes five-time Academy Award viewer, Ryan Reynolds, as a man on an e-Harmony date with destiny. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… me, Deadpool. So, get ready to blow out your collective sphincters ’cause my trailer is coming…. tomorrow.”
Reynolds previously played Wade Wilson in 20th Century Fox’s failed mutant spin-off, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The fresh reboot, which also stars Marina Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J Miller and Gina Carano, is set to be released in February next year.
The official trailer, which first debuted at San Diego Comic Con, will be released tomorrow (4th August). Until then, take pleasure in your first HD glimpse at the new and improved Deadpool.
