Despite previous protestations, it seems as though Bill Murray will be appearing in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot after all.

Speculation began when Murray was spotted arriving in Boston, Massachusetts – the location in which the movie is currently being filmed. News of Murray’s involvement will almost certainly act as the ultimate seal of approval to anyone still unsure of the all-female remake.

Murray starred as Dr. Peter Venkman in the 1984 original, as well as the sequel made in 1989. His former co-star, Dan Aykroyd – who also co-wrote the original franchise with the late Harold Ramis – has already confirmed a cameo in the upcoming film. Neither Aykroyd or Murray are expected to appear as their original characters.

The reboot is set to hit cinemas on 15th July 2016, and will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the new ‘bustin team.
