The critically acclaimed political drama, will return to Netflix for a fourth season in March 2016.
The announcement came in the form of a faux-political ad, that aired on CNN during the fifth Republican Presidential debate.
In the farcical campaign ad, a narrator reads: “It’s a new day in America. Today more people will go to work, return home to their families and sleep more soundly than ever before – all because one man refuses to settle, putting people before politics. That man is Frank Underwood.”
The clip then cuts to Kevin Spacey’s scheming character as he sit at his desk in the oval office, and offers a coy promise: “America, I’m only getting started.”
If the ad is anything to go by, the new season, which will consist of 13 episodes, will see the conniving politician scheme his way into another term of office. Netflix has launched the hashtag #FU2016, in addition to a website dedicated to the fictional campaign.
Also starring Robin Wright, Michael Kelly and Neve Campbell, the fourth season of House of Cards will be available to stream on Netflix from 4th March 2016. Watch the campaign ad below.
