American rock band the Foo Fighters, will be recording a new album this year, according to the CEO of Latitude 38 Entertainment, Dave Graham.
Speaking after the band had been confirmed as headliners for BottleRock Napa Valley festival in California, Graham, whose company promote the festival, told the Napa Valley Register that: “The Foo Fighters are in the studio all next year recording a new album”. He went on to say that, “BottleRock may be their only show in 2017 in North America”.
The Foo Fighters released their most recent album, Sonic Highways, in 2014 with a HBO documentary series to accompany it. Since then, the members of the band have undertaken various different projects including lead singer and guitarist Dave Grohl performing at the Oscars in early 2016 and drummer Taylor Hawkins’ side project K.O.T.A which premiered in November of last year. The band also released the Saint Cecilia EP in November 2015.
