It would seem that these days, children in the UK are getting their bedtime stories read to them by some of Hollywood’s biggest names! Following on from Tom Hardy’s segments on CBeebies Bedtime stories, actor Chris Evans has signed up to do the same.
Chris Evans, best known for playing Captain America in the Marvel movies, will read the Shelly Becker and Eda Kaban book, Even Superheroes Have Bad Days. The story helps children to know how to channel their emotions when they feel overwhelmed. This feels appropriate given Evans’ long history with advocating for mental health.
Evans said that he felt “honoured” to be part of “such a special show” and hopes “families have as much fun watching as [he]did reading”.
Fans have responded very positively to the news, with many, especially the mums out there, getting excited to see the episode which is aired on Cbeebies on the 10th May.
This appearance sees Evans following a long line of other celebrities including David Tennant, James McAvoy, Damian Lewis and Maxine Peak.
