Jason Derulo has released the video for new single ‘Trumpets’. ‘Trumpets’ will be the fourth single from Derulo’s third studio album Tattoos, following on from ‘The Other Side’, ‘Talk Dirty’ and ‘Marry Me’.
The new single is just as catchy as any Derulo track, with a huge chorus that you’ll be singing along to and will be stuck in your head for the next week. The lyrics at times can be odd (‘Is it weird that your bra, Remind me of a Katy Perry song?’ and ‘Is it weird that your eyes, Remind me of a Coldplay song?’ slightly weird Jason, but we’ll let it slide) and unfortunately he doesn’t sing his name; but it’s still a great offering from the pop star.
The music video is slightly risqué, featuring Derulo admiring a scantily clad woman in his bedroom and then in a strip club. Like any of his other tracks, it features some classic dance numbers, and then the slightly more bizarre aspect of the video, which is loads of guys playing trumpets interrupting Derulo and his lady. I’m not sure it entirely makes sense; but it’s enjoyable none the less.
The single will officially be released on 23rd December.
