Junk Department’s Big Top is already shaping up to be one of the most unique and innovative festivals on the South Coast. Its stellar selection of internationally acclaimed artists and atmospheric venue make it stand out from the otherwise ‘safe’ offerings of other summer festivals.
The transition from curating immersive club nights to a fully fledged, one day festival, is without a doubt, a bold decision for Junk Department, but likely one that will pay off. Earlybird tickets sold out in a matter of days, and first release tickets are quickly running out. In addition to standard tickets, VIP and afterparty tickets have just gone on sale offering extra special perks to let festival goers create the experience that they want. For those that that have already purchased a day ticket, an afterparty upgrade will also be made available.
The new one day festival Junk Department have created consists of a main-stage inside the titular Big Top, situated in Stoneham Park (near Wide Lane), along with two smaller tents, one of which is hosted by Southampton locals, Future Garden and the other by Portsmouth based Concrete Music.
Junk Department have put together a hot lineup for the mainstage itself, including the likes of Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, and Ben Pearce. The blend of influential artists and local talent alike is set to create an electric atmosphere unlike any other event in the UK has to offer.
First release and VIP tickets are available here from Fatsoma, along with individual afterparty tickets, and afterparty upgrades. Further details about the afterparty will shortly be released.
