Southampton has always been a great place for live music, and October this year is no exception! Amongst the plethora of acts gracing the city over this month, the one that has caused by the most excitement for me by far is BOWLING FOR SOUP.
BOWLING FOR SOUP, returning to the UK this October following their recent stint of acoustic shows, come to the Southampton Guildhall on October 11th, accompanied by US band The Dollyrots, fellow Dallas natives Forever The Sickest Kids and, as special guests, British rockers A along for the ride! It promises not only to be the biggest tour for the foursome to date, but by far the most exciting.
Front man Jaret Reddick said: ”I can’t believe how amazing the October tour is going to be! We hope to make it bigger every year, but this is setting the bar SO high!! We first heard ‘A’ on our very first trip to the UK in 2000, and have been fans since…We have talked to them now for 10 years about trying to make a tour together happen, and we are finally getting it done! Forever The Sickest Kids are an amazing band from Dallas, TX; it is always nice to bring a taste of home with us across the pond! Finally, The Dollyrots!!! We want to marry them! This (yet to be named tour) is going to RULE!!!”
The tour, now aptly named “Just can’t get rid of us tour”, was originally left titleless to allow BFS fans to tweet their suggestions for the upcoming tour name.
This tour promises to be something else – every time they have graced the city, there have been metaphorical fireworks, and with an impressive discography behind them, expect a varied, hilarious, riotous, and thoroughly enjoyable set. MISS THEM AT YOUR PERIL
