Hang The Bastard‘s mix of hardcore and chunky sludge metal have earnt them the reputation as a pioneering fusion band with their roots firmly set in the underground punk scene. The West London four piece – comprising Tomas Hubbard, lead vocals; Sam Rice, guitar; Joe Nally, bass and vocals; Simon Grubb, drums – rose out from the abyss of sludge in late 2007. They have been touring the UK throughout March in support of hardcore punk fusioners Corrosion of Conformity.

But whilst Corrosion of Conformity move on to Europe, Hang The Bastard will continue to ravage the UK; the Southampton date is the penultimate one of the tour, the final gig being held at Electrowerkz in London.

The band released their most successful album to date, Sex In The Seventh Circle, in September of last year and have been riding the wave since then. Prior to that the band was little known except to those well versed in the deep recesses of doom metal.
