English singer-songwriter, Lucy Rose, has posted a new track entitled ‘Cover Up’ which has been lifted from her upcoming album and the follow-up to debut, Like I Used To.
‘Cover Up’ was posted on the singer’s Twitter and Facebook accounts with a message that reads: ‘So here it is, a brand new song to give you an idea of what’s to come. I’m still in the studio putting some finishing touches on the album but it should be out early next year. Sorry it can’t be sooner, I just want to make sure it’s right.’
Lucy Rose provided the backing vocals to Bombay Bicycle Club‘s third album, A Different Kind of Fix and most recent album, So Long, See You Tomorrow. The influence of the band can be seen in her recent track, as the style of the vocals as well as the backing instrumentals resemble Jack Steadman’s production on Bombay Bicycle Club’s latest album.
Both Lucy Rose and Bombay Bicycle Club will be performing at Glastonbury’s final night on the Other Stage, followed by the likes of White Lies, Ellie Goulding and Massive Attack.
Prior to her Glastonbury set, Lucy Rose will be performing two UK shows:
25/06: London – Sebright Arms
26/06: Bristol – Exchange
